Q- Are counselling/therapy services covered by extended insurance plans?

​

A- Yes, many insurance plans cover counselling and therapy services provided by Registered Provisional Psychologists, Check with your insurance provider to find out those details. We do not deal with the insurance companies and we will not be able to provide an answer to your questions about the coverage.

Your benefits usually reset at the end of each year. Take advantage of this benefit to improve your mental health.

QDo you do direct billing?

​

A- No, we do not do direct billing. We provide you with an invoice and you can directly claim it to your insurance company, if applies.

Q- What form of payment do you accept?

​

A- We accept major credit cards, cheque, cash, and e-transfer. Payments are due the day the services are delivered.

 

Q- What if I can not afford therapy?

​

A- We can offer sliding scale or we can help you find affordable counselling services in the community.

Q- How do I choose a counsellor that is fit for me?

​

A- It is especially important to find a therapist who is a fit to you. We offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to help us determine if the services we provide are suitable to you.

Q- What is EMDR therapy? 

​

A- EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and it is an effective and evidence-based therapy to treat current or past trauma and PTSD. A certified EMDR therapist can assess and determine the suitability for EMDR therapy. EMDR therapy is also effective with depression, anxiety, OCD, addiction, phobia, and anger.

TEAM  therapy, developed by world-renowned author and therapist Dr. David Burns, is a powerful and innovative form of therapy that builds upon evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT ), to drive faster change and relief for patients. Each step of this approach has been studied and shown to improve therapy results.
