Meet the Team 

Leena Mahmoodi

Leena Mahmoodi is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with College of Alberta Psychologists. She has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville university. She is a level 3 TEAM CBT and an EMDR therapist. Leena is highly trained and provides high quality counselling services that gets you results. According to her clients feedback, she is an empathetic, compassionate and non-judgmental therapist. Cultural sensitivity is her strongest suit. She values strong therapeutic alliances and takes a client-centered approach. She truly believes that clients are “the experts” in their own lives and with her guidance, they can tap into their own resources with a potential to thrive. Similar to any other human being, Leena has experienced the ups and downs of life and has overcome numerous rocky roads. She is a proud mother of two daughters that she deeply adores. She is passionate to help and treat individuals who struggle with mental health issues.  Her treatment primarily involves empowering individuals. She has changed many lives and has helped individuals to reach their highest potential in life.

Samina Javeed

Samina adopts a compassionate, person-centred approach to therapy. Samina has extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adults, couples, and families. She is committed to helping her clients reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives. With a passion for helping others, Samina creates a safe and supportive environment where her clients can feel heard and understood.  

 

Samina utilizes a person-centred approach, valuing each client's unique experiences and perspectives, and building trust and mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. She builds her foundations on trauma-informed care and also incorporates evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to address a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.  

Jennifer Turner

Jennifer Turner is a Registered Provisional Psychologist. Her various life paths have awarded her the opportunity to work with diverse populations, in a variety of settings, and in a variety of contexts. 
Her belief is that within our most challenging times is where we make the most brilliant and impactful transformations. Using a client-centered approach, she is dedicated to providing clients with a safe and
encouraging space, free of any judgement, where they feel inspired to heal and grow. You are the expert on your life, and she is here to offer you the support and space you need to uncover your greatest
potential. 

 

She is also a Certified, Master-level Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART), a Certified Clinical Traumatologist, and a Grief Recovery Specialist. She also has training in other therapeutic
modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT); and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She has experience working with individuals in the areas of
ADHD, addiction, anger management, anxiety disorders, behavioural concerns, chronic pain, depression, dual diagnoses, emotional disturbances, general coping skills, impulsivity, life transitions, personality disorders, emotional concerns, sleep or insomnia, stress, suicidal/self-harm ideations, and trauma.

Rameen Kargger

Rameen is a registered psychologist with College of Alberta psychologists. Rameen has over 12 years experience in helping individuals to overcome all kinds of life challenges. He offers treatment of couples with relationship problems and individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, panic attacks, worrying, stress, OCD, PTSD, and many more issues.

One of the many things that makes him very effective with clients are the struggles and adversity he himself had to overcome growing up.  He understands what it is like to struggle which help him relate easily with individuals who seek therapy for their challenges.
