Meet the Team 

Leena Mahmoodi

Leena Mahmoodi is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with College of Alberta Psychologists. She has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville university. She is a level 3 TEAM CBT and an EMDR therapist. Leena is highly trained and provides high quality counselling services that gets you results. Leena specializes in treating depression, anxiety, panic attack, trauma treatment, PTSD, self-esteem concerns, OCD, interpersonal problems, stress management and grief/loss. According to her clients feedback, she is an empathetic, compassionate and non-judgmental therapist. Cultural sensitivity is her strongest suit.

 

Leena values strong therapeutic alliances and takes a client-centered approach. She truly believes that clients are “the experts” in their own lives and with her guidance, they can tap into their own resources with a potential to thrive. Similar to any other human being, Leena has experienced the ups and downs of life and has overcome numerous rocky roads. She is a proud mother of two daughters that she deeply adores. She is passionate to help and treat individuals who struggle with mental health issues.  Her treatment primarily involves empowering individuals. She has changed many lives and has helped individuals to reach their highest potential in life.

Julia-Klara Condrea

Julia is a Registered Social Worker, with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary, who is authorized by the ACSW-Alberta College of Social Workers to provide psychosocial interventions. She offers individual therapy for issues including stress, anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, low self-esteem, ADHD, emotion dysregulation, sleep disturbance, grief, loss, narcissistic abuse, and relationship difficulties.

Her approach in therapy is collaborative, attachment-based, person and family-centered, holistic, trauma-informed, strength-oriented, culturally-competent, and anti-oppressive. This practice perspective allows her to provide individualized services that are goal-oriented, skills-based, and empower individuals to reconnect with their authenticity. Julia is trained and well-versed in several counseling modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy among other methodologies, and has a compassionate, warm, and approachable demeanor. She is also multilingual, and able to provide psychotherapy in English, Romanian, and Hungarian

Shirley Liang

Shirley Liang (she/her) is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Calgary and a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle.

 

Shirley’s therapeutic presence can be described as being warm, compassionate, non-judgmental, and authentic. She believes in a personalized and goal-oriented approach to treatment that incorporates your unique needs, so that you can expect to feel seen, heard, and respected. 

 

Shirley is passionate about working with youth and adults, especially BIPOC and individuals of the queer community, with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, emotional regulation, self-esteem, neurodivergence, life transitions, identity issues, grief/loss, and relationship or family dynamics. Her therapeutic approach draws from various modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Rameen Kargger

Rameen is a registered psychologist with College of Alberta psychologists. Rameen has over 12 years experience in helping individuals to overcome all kinds of life challenges. He offers formal assessment and treatment of couples with relationship problems and individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, panic attacks, worrying, stress, OCD, PTSD, and many more issues.

One of the many things that makes him very effective with clients are the struggles and adversity he himself had to overcome growing up. He understands what it is like to struggle which help him relate easily with individuals who seek therapy for their challenges.
